Life Tips With Life Coach : Nina Ganguli

Q:  I have recently left an abusive relationship and have also moved out of a women’s shelter.   I am so blessed to have had the support needed from the shelter but I am not sure what to do now.  How can I move forward and find a job and a fulfilling life?

A:  Transitioning from a shelter to the real word can be challenging, I highly recommend a program that I am the Life Coach Mentor of.  This is a free program designed specifically for women such as yourself!

The Program is called I Am Behind You!  It was founded by Vannu Gandhi, who feels she has been blessed with a wonderful life.  However she watched her mother struggle with moving forward and taking care of her and her 2 siblings when her father passed away at a young age.  Through the lessons she learned by watching her mother and feeling gratitude for the life she has now, she has been driven to give back and that’s why she created the program.

I Am Behind You is a helping network that offers free and confidential programs through Mentors (Professional women). The Mentors are committed to help women learn new skills and traits that will allow them to become financially independent. The program promotes holistic growth, self-advocacy, self-sufficiency, personal growth and confidence that will let survivors of trauma and/or abuse to move forward in life.

Each woman will be supported with a mentor to suit their needs, such as:

  • Creating goals and developing actions plans to transition from co-dependency to independency.
  • Creating a personal brand via social media and an online presence to market themselves in the corporate world.
  • Resume building, job search and interview preparation.
  • Complementary Wardrobe and Make-Over.
  • Relationship building within the community.

I am proud to be a mentor in this program as I have survived a traumatic past and feel it’s my responsibility to also give back to those women who are in need and are not sure where to turn.  Vannu is currently working on creating community awareness and is collaborating with local women’s shelters to highlight the benefits of I Am Behind You.  Please feel free to reach out to her at 416-318-0014 and follow the I Am Behind You Facebook page:  www.facebook.com/Iambehindyoutohelp

It’s my honour to serve you! God bless!
