The Raptors 905, the G-League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, has opened its first-ever dedicated practice facility in Mississauga.
The new facility is expected to be a major boost for the team, giving players a permanent space for training, development and preparation. Until now, the team had to rely on shared or temporary practice spaces.
Officials say the training centre will also benefit the local community, helping grow basketball in the region and creating opportunities for youth programs and events connected to the sport.
The Raptors 905 compete in the NBA G League, which serves as the official development league for the NBA. The new practice facility is seen as an important step in strengthening the team’s development system and supporting future talent connected to the Toronto Raptors organization.
