McTeague advised drivers to fill up after 6 p.m., when some gas stations tend to offer lower prices.

The impact is being strongly felt by everyday drivers. Many, including rideshare drivers, say they now spend significantly more on fuel than before. Some reported that a tank which used to cost around $40 now costs $60 to $65.

With inflation already affecting essential expenses, residents say the rising cost of gas is making daily life even more difficult. Despite the frustration, many drivers say they have no choice but to continue driving due to work and daily needs.
